市川神楽

八戸市市川町浜市川地区に昔から伝承されてきた神楽。
毎年7月に、地元の白髭神社で行われる例大祭での奉納には、多くの観客が詰めかけ賑わいを見せる。
地元の多賀小学校の児童への指導は40年以上にわたって行われているほか、2018年1月には、高校生・大学生が中心となって二十数年ぶりに春祈祷を復活させるなど、継承への機運が高まっている

The Ichikawa Kagura is an age-old tradition of the Hamaichikawa district of Ichikawa, Hachinohe. Its ritual dance performance in July at the local Shirahige Shrine’s annual festival is a busy occasion that draws large crowds.
For over 40 years now, the troupe has coached children at the local Taga Elementary School. The tradition looks to endure, with its spring prayer custom revived after over two decades in January 2018, led primarily by college and high school students.
