高館駒踊保存会

駒踊の由来は諸説ありますが、一般的には、荒々しく育った馬を捕らえる「野馬捕り」を芸能化したものといわれます。
高館駒踊は太鼓と手平鉦、馬の作り物を腰に身に着けた舞手が円陣を組み、庭入り・直り駒・引き返し・休み駒・かけあい・駒くわい（三宝荒神）・廻り駒・引き駒の順に途切れることなく踊ります。駒踊の付舞に扇舞、七ツ道具、うつぎぁさぁがあります。
高館駒踊は文化文政期頃（19世紀初め）に五戸の切谷内から伝わったとされます。昭和30年代からは高館町内の青年団、現在は高館駒踊保存会によって継承されています。八戸三社大祭や小田八幡宮例祭で上演するほか、福祉施設への慰問やイベントへも出演しています。青森県指定無形民俗文化財。

It is said that Takadate Koma Odori was founded by Yunosuke Yoshida and Kazaemon Yoshida in the Kyoho era, as a form of entertainment in the rural areas. It was designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of Aomori prefecture in 1959.
In July 1999, the Takadate Koma Odori Preservation Society, the Child Development Liaison Association of Takadate District, and the Takadate District Union Neighborhood Association worked together in putting on inheritance activities for the local students in elementary to high school.
In January 2001, they performed the Takadate Koma Odori in the U.S. as part of the USN International Exchange Group, making the name “KOMAODORI” be widely known.
