Yamanouchi Kenbai (Yamada Town)
The Yamanouchi Kenbai is said to have been performed by Hei Yorimoto, who ruled Yamada from the end of the Heian period to the beginning of the Kamakura period, as an offering to the spirits of his ancestors. The dance is dedicated to the annual festival of Ara Shrine.
