田代念佛剣舞

江戸時代後期に、田代村の去石（さりいし）氏が仙台の七北田（ななきた）地区へ酒屋の出稼ぎに行った際、習い覚えたといわれています。毎年８月15日に初盆の家々を回り、御墓踊（みはかおどり）と剣舞を踊って死者を供養しています。

Tashiro Nembutsu Kenbai (Miyako City)
It is said that Mr. Sariishi of Tashiro Village learned this dance when he went to Sendai to work at a liquor store in Nanakita District in the late Edo period. Every year on August 15, they go around to the houses of the hatsu-bon festival (first obon following a death of a family member), and dance the mihaka odori (grave dance) and kenbai (sword dance) to make offerings to the deceased.
